History
2013-2020
Emerson Geophysical was started in 2013 by Mitchell Pasinski, President and Owner/Operator, with over 37 years of seismic experience as an observer, party manager, safety director and operation manager. He was joined by Peter Kiewit, VP in charge of sales and permitting, with 31 years of experience as a permit agent, party manager, Landman, title examiners, title curative and right-of-way acquisition and his son Sam Pasinski, Sr. Observer and Field Operations Manager, who had 15 years of experience including surveying, jugging, permitting, recording, mapping and creating fold plots.
2021-2024
Mithell Pasinski stepped down at the end of 2020 and his leadership was replaced by Sam Pasinski as Operations Manager. Sam continued to lead Emerson Geophysical for the next 4 years conducting numerous 3D and 2D projects across the State of Michigan. In 2023 Sam introduced a new logo and began to reestablish a presence of Emerson Geophysical outside of Michigan. In 2022 Matt Carlson joined the team bringing with him a background of geology, geophysics, and GIS education along with nearly 20 years of management experience and 2 years of seismic interpretation experience. During 2022 Matt spent time jugging, mapping, assisting the Observer and Sam, the Operations Manager. In 2023 Emerson Geophysical began doing in house surveying and Matt Carlson was named the Survey Crew Manager.
2025-
Sam Pasinski left Emerson Geophysical at the end of 2024 leaving Matt Carlson as the Senior Technical Director and Eddie Beckley as the Party Manager. Eddie Beckley has been an integral part of Emerson Geophysical since its inception with experience jugging, surveying, permitting and as a Head Linesman. Eddie also brings experience as a business owner and manager. Matt and Eddie have continued Sam's goal of reestablishing an Emerson Geophysical presence outside the State of Michigan while continuing to grow our presence in Michigan.
